Hotdog-stuffed pizza crust and bacon sundae? Freaky food Friday!

Have you ever seen an item of food and just thought, “What the HECK?!”  I have.

Arizona State Fair…fried anything-you-can-think-of.  I remember fried Oreo and fried Snickers in particular.  Yowza.  It was basically hot melty goosh inside a fried doughnut.

So this week as I was checking email, catching up on Facebook, and going through my tweets I came across something that left me speechless.  It’s been in the news lately, so you may have caught it, too.

Take a gander at this.  Sadly enough (sarcasm!), it is only being offered in the UK right now.  I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before Pizza Hut brings their hotdog-stuffed crust to this side of the pond, though, right?

If you read the article (and here’s one more from NPR) you probably saw the bit about the bacon sundae, too, yes?  Umm hmmm, hot fudge, and caramel sundae with a strip of bacon shoved in there.  Wow.  Do we really need to put bacon on everything? There has definitely been a crazy bacon trend happening here in the US lately, what is that all about?

Sorry, no Jack in the Box restaurants around us here, so no, I have not tried that bacon milkshake.
